NOTA KELAS: CCT: LATERAL THINKING/CREATIVE THINKING

1. Is to think outside of the box. Think in an useful and outside of the pattern or known (normal ways, daily ways of people)

2. A set of skills that will assist you to think in different ways. Skills such as provocation and movement, concept of Fan, Six Thinking Hat, SCAMPER, CAF, BMI... Lateral thinking is a new art introduce by Edward de Bono to encourage creativity and creative thinking. Among its objectives are:
a. Understand the ways how to become creative
b. Think comprehensively and see issues and problems from a bigger picture and different angels (perspectives)
c. Help solve problems whether individual collective
d. Help see the relationship between the various aspects of a problem
e. Create an environment of creativity and encourages people to think differently and use skills to solve problems and provide useful ideas.

3. Lateral thinking changes the attitude (own habits, mind) of people towards themselves and their own potential so that they become more creative and able to solve their problem.

4. Compare to critical thinking or scientific thinking or other style of thinking, creative thinking is not systematic like them. And it does not follow procedures and steps like critical or scientific thinking.
